Series 2 Land Rover Budget Restoration - We are up to day 23 of the Land Rover Series 2 restoration 16th August 2013

Okay, the tub of my Land Rover Series 2 'Jane-May' is coming on. We have repaired the patches that needing doing and the first coat of paint has gone on the inside of the tub. We have used an enamel paint as the base. This is because it will protect the bits that are bare metal. So that should protect the tub from the great British weather lol

Here are some photos of the inside of the tub that we have painted.

As you can see the paint has made a big difference to the tub. It is really starting to look good. If the weather holds off, we will be able to get the undercoat of the horrible green as a base to work on before we put the good 'Brunswick Green' on. This will be the top coat. So in all every panel and part with have 3 (three) coats of paint on them. We are not taking any chances with the paint at all. I want to make sure that 'Jane-May' looks really good when she is finished.

All the trims from the tub have had their second coat of silver and are looking so great.

As usual, one of the dogs had to get in on the picture lol. She is so nosey when the camera is out and has to get in every photo. I think my washing line has had enough of parts being hung on it and it is close to breaking, I think lol.

Latest update
Today is Saturday 17th August and the weather has been awful. You can rely on one thing with the British Weather, it will rain. grrrrr. I am just hoping that the weather will be better tomorrow and we will be able to get some more painting done on the tub. We are hoping that we will be able to get a tarpaulin over the gazebo in the morning. That way, we will still be able to paint and the rain will not get at the paint or the tub. lol I know, anything to get the job done.

We are out at a fun day at my sons College in the morning, but hope to get loads more painting done in the afternoon.

So I hope everyone is having better weather than we are having just now. I will be back tomorrow with an update for you
Debbie
