Series 2 Land Rover Budget Restoration - We are up to day 25 of the Land Rover Series 2 restoration 19th August 2013

Well the tub has had over night to dry and we are now starting on the first coat of the Brunswick Green paint. Paul (hubby) is putting the first coat on as I had a bad night last night and my back is giving me a lot of pain. So Paul is taking over the painting for now, with a watchful eye from me LOL.

Here is Paul putting the first coat of the Brunswick Green, Paul is doing a pretty good job so far LOL
Most people brush the paint on, but we are using a gloss roller. This stops and brush marks being in the first of the paint.

The roller also makes painting a lot easier and it goes on pretty quick too.

Working his way around the tub.

The Brunswick green is covering the tub well, should have enough paint to finish everything and a little left over

This is the first coat of the Brunswick green completed. Looking really good. Will be doing a second coat on the tub tomorrow

How good does this look. Tomorrow we will be putting a second coat of the Brunswick Green on. There is still one trim to be painted silver and that will be started tomorrow also.

So that is the restoration so far. Once the second coat has gone on the tub, the only bits to paint will be:
The tailgate
Bulkhead
Rear Chassis

Everything is coming together really well. Hopefully it will not be too long before 'Jane-May is going for her MOT.
